With type 1 or type 2 diabetes, normal blood sugar range is 80-120 before a meal. After a meal (2-4 hours) you should not have your glucose level any higher then 140-160.
Anything higher then 140 means you have too much sugar in your body! In time, with a lot of high blood sugar, your kidney function will begin to fail among other things like poor blood circulation and lose of vision!
Your diabetes normal blood sugar range should stay between 80-140, 24 hours a day.
As a child, I didn’t fully understand the impact blood sugar levels had on my body. But today I do! One of my daily goals is to watch my sugar level and not let it ever get over 140. Sometimes it does, but I check my blood sugar throughout the day to keep my diabetes within the normal range.

Test yourself every day and have a normal functioning body your entire life. Having high blood sugar levels because you don’t take the time to test yourself or because you don’t want to prick yourself might mean you could lose your kidney function or your eyesight as an adult!
